Seattle’s Premier Adult Sled Hockey Team
Seattle Sled Hockey is the home of the Seattle Kraken adult sled hockey team. We are a program of Seattle Adaptive Sports (SAS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to connect para-athletes to adaptive sports in the greater Puget Sound region. We are affiliated with the Seattle Kraken of the NHL and the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL.

Join us for our Annual Try-It Event
The Seattle Kraken Sled Hockey team are hosting a try-it event this Sunday, 9/29/2024 at the Kraken Community Iceplex from 2:15pm to 3:45pm. Come give sled hockey a try, chat with our coaches and volunteers, and learn about the awesome sport of sled hockey. We have a selection of sleds, sticks, and protective equipment available and we should be able to get you into a sled that works for your situation. Volunteers are also welcome to come lend a hand. Admission is free! See you there!
The Seattle Kraken Close Season by Repeating as Champions at the 2024 Hendrickson Festival
The Seattle Kraken were victorious in the Tier 2 Championship game at the 2024 Hendrickson Festival in Blaine, MN, polishing off a dominant performance that saw the Kraken advance to the playoff game with victories of 5-0 and 10-0, a close loss in game 3, 3-2, before winning a hard fought and tight checking championship game by a score of 2-1. This is our second consecutive Hendrickson Championship title, after we were victorious in Tier 3 at the 2023 Festival. This is a truly awesome accomplishment for the players, coaches and staff! Stick taps all around!
This marks the end of the 2023-24 sled hockey season for the Kraken. The 2024-25 season begins in September so check our calendar page for details. Go Kraken!

Play
Seattle Sled Hockey is currently recruiting players of all skill levels ages 13 and up, including able bodied players. Please contact us prior to attending your first practice so we can get you set up with what you need to get started.
Volunteer
Seattle Sled Hockey would love to have you join us. We can use volunteers for getting players on and off the ice, sled pushers, photographers, fundraising help, referees, and more. Please contact us to find an opportunity that works for you.
